It has sure been a long time since the closing of EBI last year when things went wrong with the ex-CEO Kevin Stevens.
Unfortunately, all of the EBI funds were in a United States bank account and all of the funds were seized by the government in connection with the fraud case that was built around EBI. No investments will be able to be returned to clients; we are starting over, and apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
The United States realized that Mr. Stevens and Mr. Greco (CFO), were dealing with high-profile and dangerous individuals who they were taking investments from. These investments ranged from $20,000 from one African-American gentleman to over $12,500,000 in USD from a group cooperation of Colombian cocaine dealers.
Taking this in to account, most of the EBI staff was placed into protective custody before being placed into the Witness Protection Program after most received massive facial reconstruction surgery by their choosing. The following individuals are now being held by the United States until the trial date on October 31, 2011:
Kevin Stevens, previous CEO of Edward Brown Investments- charged with tax evasion, embezzlement, receiving stolen property, assault on a federal officer, resisting arrest, insider trading, micro cap fraud, failure to report crime, aiding a known felon, civil disobedience, soliciting prostitution, among others.
Sonny Greco, previous CFO of Edward Brown Investments- charged with tax evasion, embezzlement, receiving stolen property, assault on a federal officer, resisting arrest, insider trading, micro cap fraud, failure to report crime, aiding a known felon, civil disobedience, among others.
Hector W. Nyman- partner in EBI- charged with tax evasion, among others
James S. Smith- partner in EBI- charged with tax evasion, among others
Frank N. Getz- investor working for EBI- charged with tax evasion, micro cap fraud, insider trading, receiving stolen property, among others.
Daryl J. Mckibben- investor working for EBI- charged with tax evasion, micro cap fraud, insider trading, receiving stolen property, among others.
Enrique N. Steele- investor working for EBI- charged with tax evasion, micro cap fraud, insider trading, receiving stolen property, among others.
Sying Hsüeh- charged with tax evasion, receiving stolen property, among others.
Meng Hsing- charged with tax evasion, receiving stolen property, among others.
Hui Yang- charged with tax evasion, receiving stolen property, among others.
Sandor Reyes Arriaga- charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, tax evasion, receiving stolen property, assault on a federal agent, resisting arrest, among others.
Carlos Reyes Arriaga- charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, tax evasion, receiving stolen property, assault on a federal agent, resisting arrest, among others.
Serxio Viera Baca- charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, tax evasion, receiving stolen property, assault on a federal agent, resisting arrest, among others.
Giorgio Esquibel Cotto- charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, tax evasion, receiving stolen property, among others.
Mandy Brown- widow of EBI's founder- charged with receiving stolen property, tax evasion, among others.
Kelly J. Madison- charged with possession of a controlled substance, assault on a federal officer, civil disobedience, aiding a known felon, among others.
Most of these individuals will be entering the Witness Protection Program. Most of the EBI executives and top traders were indeed hiding something, and the entire company was brought down fairly quickly by a cooperation of multinational government organizations working together.
The new Edward Brown Investments that will open up, however it is a completely new operation being run by completely new individuals, the only thing that will remain constant is the brown name. Also, the brother of our founder, Mr. Morgan Brown, will jump in as EBI's Chief Director of Marketing and PR. He is currently attending MIT and will be intertwining EBI with his college career.
The new CEO, Alfanzo Sletten, is a graduate of an Ivy League school and has over 25 years of experience in the investment industry, holding a MBA and 2 other associates degrees relating to business and investing. He has no relation to the Brown family, and is simply choosing a new job for himself. He takes investing very seriously, and has taken the last few months to carefully place together a team of over 35 new traders that will be working full time for EBI all over the world. This number does not include the 42+ individuals that will be working for EBI in many ways, shapes, and forms.
The Vice President of EBI is Madison Olsen, 29 years old. She too has graduated from an ivy-league school, and has a MBA. She graduated as Valedictorian from her school.
EBI will also be hiring a new CFO, CDO, and possibly more executive positions in the company. The new global headquarters of Edward Brown Investments is currently being constructed in a world class office building located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The website will be top of the line with custom online accounts for each member and brand new graphics. We will have 24/7 live phone support for anyone who wishes to call in for questions and investment advice. EBI has chosen to still remain tied to the online investment worldwide by continuing to accept Liberty Reserve as well as international bank wires and cash deposits.
Hopefully we can put the past of EBI behind us and move on in life. This is Alfanzo Sletten signing off.
